[edit] Long Description

This is an impressive-looking helm, skillfully made from bronze and polished so well that you can see your face in it. Well, you would be able to if the surface weren't curved so that you appeared all distorted and upside-down. Anyway, it's got a good shine to it and looks very resistant to rusting.

[edit] Appraises As

The bronze helm is about a foot long and about nine inches wide. It is made of bronze and could be worn as armour.

[edit] Stat effects

[edit] Other effects

[edit] Health

After it has been worn for about 1 - 2 minutes, the bronze helm will start to inflict an increasingly severe headache on the wearer. This translates into hitpoint damage which, if ignored for long enough, can eventually kill the wearer. These damage messages are approximately a minute to a minute and a half apart.

The bronze helm's hitpoint damage follows a geometric progression[1]: it initially deals 1hp damage, then 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and so on. The damage is almost unnoticable at first, but eventually becomes impossible to overcome.

The damage effect is stopped immediately on removing the bronze helm; when worn again it resets to its 1hp damage setting.

[edit] Light sensitivity

The bronze helm increases the wearer's light sensitivity, allowing them to see in dimly lit rooms while blinding them in brightly lit rooms.

[edit] Availability

Bronze helms may be purchased from the T-shop and are often available in player shops.
