Chant is a priest ritual that stops everyone in the room from fighting (there is a separate pk-check for each individual--so if you're npk, the ritual will only affect npcs in the room, and so on).
It is similar to Calm, but untargetted.

You recite the psalm of fascination. You pray to Pishe, asking for the ability to enthrall. The smoke of the incense wafts throughout the area.
Success
You feel waves of calmness suffuse throughout the area. Althea of Pishe, Kess of Sek and the young man calm down.
