The purpose of the focus command is to see the likelihood of successfully passing the skill checks on each stage of a spell.

Focus is a verb added by drinking pale brownish green water.

Having drunk the potion, you prepare to focus on <name of spell>. Compared to the strength of the spell, the weakening effects of the potion are mild.

Having drunk the potion, you prepare to focus on <name of spell>. For a second, the potion's strength causes you to let your synaptic guard down leaving the spell slightly vulnerable.

Having drunk the potion, you prepare to focus on <name of spell>. The severe dizziness caused by the potion completely removes your mind's defenses, leaving the spell vulnerable.

Having drunk the potion, you prepare to focus on <name of spell>. The spell's power is no match against the potion's strength, and is left wide open to attack.

  • I guess you would almost certainly fail. Yes, yes you have a very slight chance of succeeding, but I wouldn't bet on it.

  • I guess you might as well toss a coin.
  • I guess you are a little more likely to succeed than to fail.
  • I guess you might succeed if you put some effort into it.
  • I guess you have a good chance of succeeding.
  • I guess you would almost certainly succeed.
  • I guess you would definitely succeed.

  • to focus: 30 gp
  • spell type: 10 gp
  • components: 20 gp
  • each stage of spell: 20 gp
  • so total gp cost is 60+number of stages*20
