This is a hefty broomstick with a shaft made of solid iron.  It probably wouldn't be very practical for sweeping, but if you gave it a good swing it would certainly do some serious damage to anything that got in its way.
It has the hazy octarine sparkle of a magical talisman.
It appears to have something written on it.
