This spell can be learned at 120 levels of magic.spells.misc. It is taught by Granny Weatherwax and Aunty Ogg-San.
[edit] Casting
This spell costs 200 GP to cast, and takes up 60 units of mind space. It is not cast on any target.
If the caster already has a fruitbat, then the existing fruitbat will prevent a new one from being summoned.

This spell requires an apple, which is consumed. If the caster fails this spell, then the apple will be splattered all over them in the form of apple juice.

- Casting
You send your mind out, searching for a friendly helper. You whisper softly to the apple, trying to convince it to be more appealing. A fruitbat appears, which you hold some fruit out to, hoping to befriend it. You dance around a bit, flapping your arms in what you hope are bat-like motions.
- Success
You summon a giant fruitbat.
