Gytha 'Nanny' Ogg is the undisputed matriarch of the sprawling Ogg family, and second only to Granny Weatherwax in terms of witching expertise in the ramtops.

[edit] Appearance and mannerisms
Nanny is a jolly old lady, who is able to make herself at home in any company. She has had many admirers in her younger days, but time has now left her with a body that could only be called comfortable and a face like Mr Grape the Happy Raisin.
Like Granny Weatherwax, she goes in for the regulation black witches hat and cloak; unlike Granny, however, she likes to wear red boots, drink scumble, and sing the hedgehog song.

Nanny's cottage is located in the centre of Lancre Town, however, she has left tending the cottage to some of her myriad daughters-in-law, and is usually to be found outside Granny Weatherwax's cottage.
[edit] Guild roles
Nanny is best known as the teacher of the hedgehog command and its associated verses.
When asked nicely, she also teaches many other witch commands.
She can also provide witches with a list of spells that they can learn from Granny, if they ask her 'What spells does Granny teach'.
