[edit] Casting Messages

Casting

You prepare to cast Old Bellicus' Brazen Knuckles.
You inspect your hands.
You touch each knuckle to your lips.
You place a brass ring on one finger and remember the solidity of the earth beneath you.
You mutter to your knuckles and the ring that they might like to become better acquainted.
You do something cunning to the molecular structure of the ring.
The ring softens and flows, the metal sinking into your knuckles.

Success

Your knuckles become brassy, and seem to hum very faintly.

Success (already had the spell active)

Your knuckles become slightly brassier.
Your knuckles hurt badly for a moment. [Note: 120 damage]

Failure

What others see

Wizard inspects her hands.
Wizard touches each knuckle to her lips.
Wizard places a brass ring on one finger.
Wizard mutters something, apparently to her hands.
Wizard takes on a distant look.
The brass ring on Wizard's finger softens and flows, the metal sinking into her knuckles.

Spell end

[edit] Effect

Your knuckles become brassy, increasing the damage you do when fighting unarmed. A line is also added to your description:

Her knuckles look strangely brass-like.

[edit] Stacking

Re-casting the spell while it is still active appears to simply stack it (also doing some damage).

However, you do this at your own risk, as it is rumoured that it can turn you entirely to brass, killing you. This may or may not still be possible. [research]
