A small leather shield with a wooden frame over which layers of hardened and specially treated leather have been stretched. Thin strips of iron have been used to reinforce the shield and provide strength without too much extra weight.

The small leather shield is about a foot and a half long and about a foot wide. It is made of leather and looks like it could be held as a shield.
