A while back the key used to be able to open the chest.

Then it got changed, I bugged it and the reply said it was not a bug.

Sadly I lack the skills to lockpick the chest now, but it used to contain something like a spangenhelm and a jar of ground toad skin.

Wandered across the cottage today.

The key from the pillow opened the chest, which contained a spangenhelm, jar of toad skin, and a deck of caroc cards.
