I very much doubt that ear muffs protects you from pamphlets. For one thing it's not a sonic attack, it's contagious ideas that messes with your mind.

Furthermore, I always cast the spell on myself and while learning languages a pamphlet's contagion from others still worked. As for protecting from all effects of, I didn't notice anything that prevented me from reading the pamphlets and getting the effects either.

So if you're the one who added this please add where the idea that it protects you from pamphlets come from. Is it a recent change? Is something else meant?

I'll remove it from the page as soon as the mud is back up and I can confirm reading the pamphlets doesn't fail with ear muffs on if there's no more information. Frazyl 04:42, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Reading pamphlets under ear muffs works normally. I'll remove it from the page, please say how it protects from pamphlets here if you want to put it back. Frazyl 19:46, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

According to a bug reply, ear muffs should now protect against getting infected from others' preaching about Om (after reading pamphlets). It was apparently changed a while back.

It seemed to work fine for a long while without getting infected. It doesn't protect against the effect if reading the pamphlet though. Frazyl 07:13, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
